Founded in 2010, The Stamfords emerged from the punk rock scene with a sound reminiscent of Wilco, My Morning Jacket, Band of Horses, Fleet Foxes, and The Decemberists. Over the years, The Stamfords have developed a distinctive style that blends their punk roots with indie rock, creating music that is both raw and melodic.

Drawing inspiration from the atmospheric and dynamic performances of My Morning Jacket, the emotive and anthemic qualities of Band of Horses, the intricate harmonies of Fleet Foxes, and the storytelling prowess of The Decemberists, The Stamfords craft songs that resonate deeply with audiences. Their music weaves together elements of rock, Americana, and experimental sounds, resulting in a unique and captivating auditory experience.

The band is currently working on their first studio album, produced by the renowned Salim Nourallah. Known for his work with The Old 97's, Deathray Davies, and many others, Nourallah brings a wealth of experience and a signature touch to the project. His production has garnered critical acclaim and helped shape the sounds of numerous successful acts, promising to elevate The Stamfords' music to new heights.

Since their inception, The Stamfords have played over 500 shows across the South and Midwest, showcasing their energetic and heartfelt performances. With this highly anticipated debut studio album on the horizon, The Stamfords are poised to make a significant impact on the indie music scene.
